This charming, craftsman farmhouse, conceptually designed by Brian Ceamal, is filled with “green” features. The Corten steel roof, 100 year old hand-adzed recycled beams, and second generation barn-wood siding from Idaho, are not only environmentally friendly, but add authenticity to the design. The home is appointed with many recycled treasures-salvaged plumbing fixtures, custom made light fixtures, interior plank wood paneling, salvaged limestone countertops, and a beautiful limestone fireplace mantle. Since the original barn that was situated on this building site had to be removed to complete the lot split, we decided to recreate a “barn” as the central theme and simply add the house to it. The “barn” garage is graced with a legal granny unit and is accented with an authentic hay pulley form the 1800s.
